Yumuşatma sistemleri haftanın istenilen gününde, istenilen saatte herhangi bir müdahale olmaksızın rejenerasyon işlemlerini kendiliğinden gerçekleştirir. Doyuma ulaşan reçine tuzlu su ile rejenerasyona girerek, kalsiyum ve magnezyum iyonlarından temizlenir.
